There is no denying that roses have reputation for their astonishing beauty ⦠and their astonishing neediness. If you've ever longed to grow beautiful roses at home but felt put off by the commitment to their care, than this is the tour for you! On this program we'll take the mystery out of growing vigorous roses as we explore the Sarah A. Coley Rose Garden in its spring-time peak! The tour will highlight how to choose the best rose for your needs, options to plant besides hybrid-teas, and how the zoo combines ecologically-friendly cultural practices and the classic "laws" of rose gardening to keeps our roses healthy year-after-year. And, of course, there will be ample time to stop and smell the most fragrant roses in our collection.
Meeting point: Please meet at the bronze panda statues outside the ticket booths at the Anthony Wayne Trail entrance. The group will enter the zoo together and walk multiple spots across the grounds.
This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress and plan accordingly.
The price of this tour includes admission to the Toledo Zoo and complimentary parking in the Anthony Wayne parking lot.
Due to the limited space, no rainchecks or refunds
