Dr. Ryan Walsh, Director of Plant Conservation at the Toledo Zoo, will cover all the basics of Orchid cultivation so you too can grow and flower orchids in your home. Topics will include picking correct types of orchids for your growing conditions, repotting, watering and how to get your orchids to bloom again and again. With more than 20,000 orchid species in the world and hundreds of thousands of hybrids and named cultivars, there are orchids that will grow in nearly any conditions if you know how to care for them. Registration includes an orchid to take home with you.
