Family Class - Mason Bee Houses


Explore the importance of pollinators to people and habitats while visiting Zoo exhibits and meeting live animals. Then, help pollinators in your backyard by building your own mason bee house to install.

Recommended for ages 5 and older. Children under the age of 12 must have an adult participating with them.

Cost per house kit with up to 3 people participating:

Members: $30

Non-members: $35

Saturday: 10/1 at 1:00 pm

Sunday:10/2 at 1:00 pm



Family Class - Toad Abodes


Fall is the time for animals to get ready for winter and hibernation. Meet some animals that sleep in the winter and prepare a year round home for the toads that may visit your gardens.

Recommended for ages 5 and older. Children under the age of 12 must have an adult participating with them.

Cost per person. Every participant will receive a toad abode:

Members: $10

Non-members: $15

Saturday: 10/8 at 1:00 pm

DIY Conservation Class - Backyard Habitats


Add an educational experience to your fall zoo visit! The education department is offering monthly workshops for adults on a variety of topics. Each class will involve meeting animals up close, touring an exhibit with a knowledgeable guide, and exploring a sustainability topic with take-home supplies for an eco-friendly lifestyle! These classes are a perfect complement for senior safari days or any adult with an interest in conservation and meeting like-minded individuals. Choose just one or enroll in all three! Recommended for adults only!

October- Backyard Habitats- Get creative and make an animal friendly home to put out in your backyard. Meet native animals up close and learn more about local habitats.

Dates:

Saturday, October 8 at 1:30pm-3:00pm

Price:

Program cost includes TWO participants, great for significant others, friends, or family members!

Members: $30 per couple per program

Non-members: $40 per couple per program

Family Class - Pumpkin Party


Be ready to tap into your creative side as you paint your very own animal themed pumpkin. We will provide some simple design ideas and live animal visitors during this class for inspiration as you have a wild time with your design.

Recommended for ages 5 and older. Children under the age of 12 must have an adult participating with them.

Cost per person. Every participant will receive a small pumpkin to paint:
